Hester proved to be a very determined and admirable heroine. Her treatment by her parents will definitely pull at your emotions as she rises above it. Paul matched her in many ways. Equally as strong and determined, his actions through out the book earned him the title, Hero. If two people ever deserved happiness, it is these two. Beautifully written with several different plot threads, Anne Ireland’s A Shameful Secret will ensnare the reader with its surprises and twists in the plot. If you enjoy historical romance with suspense added in then A Shameful Secret is for you. Don’t miss this one. It is excellent.
